The Whole Child Approach

We believe that the best solutions to breaking cycles of poverty begin with a focus on kids. Our model is based on the "Whole Child" approach, which aims to ensure that every child in the communities we work with is healthy, safe, engaged, supported, and challenged. This model prioritizes the holistic development of community, church, and school resources that have the power to transform children's lives. By addressing the needs of children from multiple angles, we hope to create lasting change and break the cycle of poverty.

“Looking back on 2023 with the knowledge of now, I am struck by how much Torchgrab Africa achieved in so little time.

In the face of many challenges, marked by Kenya’s struggling economy, rising inflation, and the growing Hunger Crisis in Eastern Africa, Torchgrab Africa has continued to grow both in scale and impact: We expanded our educational efforts to support over 30% more children this year, while founding three new programs aimed at reducing hunger and promoting education.

Together, we are aligned by a common vision: to give vulnerable children a hope and future through education and a real relationship with their Savior Jesus Christ. It’s incredible to witness the tangible Glory of God made evident through the collaborative efforts and hearts of our supporters and partners, as we work together to bring the gospel to the least of these.

Thank you for your solidarity and support.”
